Conveying the human dimension of what it takes to make the city work, 'ROUND THE CLOCK [by Christine Zinni & Coalition for Economic Justice] focuses on the struggles of four workers: Betty (Bus Aide), Abraham (Sanitation Worker), Michael (EMT--Emergency Medical Tech), and Annie (Nurses Aide) to obtain a just wage. It shows how the workers and a broad based coalition of activists are fighting back, taking action and working to bring about changes.
Coalition for Economic Justice is an ongoing coalition of labor, faith, community, academic and student activists and organizations that engages in collective action to promote strong, sustainable communities and economic justice for all. Through education, public advocacy and mobilization of their members, communities, and allies they build and win dynamic campaigns for living wages, rights at work, accountable economic development and health care for all.
Christine Zinni is a documentary filmmaker and a professor of Anthropology at SUNY Brockport.
